Working with a major high street retailer the project team which consisted of 10 external and 70 internal members delivered an astonishing £310m of AUDITED savings.
This project set the benchmark - no squeezing out of suppliers or table thumping margin demands but a focus on the removal of avoidable costs which had built up over many years.
Able to share the savings and process improvements with suppliers improved relationships beyond all expectations.
How was it achieved? By simply understanding what was being bought and costing it accordingly. Sounds simple, was simple but three consultancies had tried and failed before us.
